Scaring audiences since 2015
Infectious Halloween owner and operator Carleen Janlewicz has been involved in the world of Halloween and horror since the 1980's.
She gained influence from her upbringing in America (which capitalised the Halloween traditions from Ireland!) and established her experience and field knowledge from working in the entertainment industries in New Zealand and Australia. While working in the art, music and entertainment industries she started producing events in the early 2000's.
It was then decided to showcase a haunted horror event in Australia that offered something different.
In Infectious Halloween was first launched in 2015 with following events in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023 & 2024.

"I was at the laneway last night and your team really exceeded yourselves. U pulled off the most marvellous and atmospheric experience in that little laneway. It really rivalled anything done by the paradise centre. The fire twirlers were hypnotic, the theme shops, decorations and everyone’s outfits. "I just wanted to reach out and say a huge thank you for inviting me to The Haunted Passage – Doomsday event. I had a fantastic time being part of the action, and it was an amazing experience to see so many people enjoying the Halloween atmosphere you created.
I was able to make a few good sales and, more importantly, connect with new fans who were really into what we’re doing at Killer Comics. The energy and enthusiasm from everyone was incredible, and I appreciate all the hard work that went into organizing such an awesome event.

"I would like to say well done and thank you for organising such a colourful Halloween event this year. We had a lot of hotel guests commenting on it. Some of our younger guests even remarked that the main reason why they came to spend a weekend in Surfers Paradise was to see the activation next door. I’ve been working in our complex for over five years, but I don’t recall ever seeing the retail area as busy as it was on Halloween weekend this year.
